Day 6 - Lambeau Field, MI - Oct. 1

The first day of October and we’re seeing leaves starting to change colors. The weather has been fantastic since we escaped right before Hurricane Helene’s effects were felt at home.

Today was all about green, gold, and the Packers! What a treat it was to have a behind the scenes view of Lambeau field. Over the course of about 3 hours, we visited luxury suites, stood on the viewing deck at the top of the stadium, went down to the field and then over to the practice facilities. The guide was passionate about the Packers, Green Bay and history. We learned a ton.

At one point, Mae got confused on were we were and mistook the Packers G for the Georgia G and broke into the Gator Chomp.

The 45-minute bus ride from Algoma (where we landed) to Green Bay was interesting. We drove through a major agricultural area and learned about the cows, milk and cheese.

The ship sailed at 3PM so the stop for us was all about football.

Returning to the ship, it was time for a nap in our favorite hideaway, a game of Scrabble, dinner and bed.
