Day 8 - Killarney, ON - Oct. 3

Frazer Bay, Ontario, is a little spot in the middle of nowhere. It has one lodge and a few houses. Our stop here was to get out in the small islets on kayaks and Zodiacs to see the wildlife and forests. But with about 25 mph winds, it was wisely deemed unsafe for them to launch those boats. We decided mid-morning to venture in on a tender to see what we could see.

Wasn’t much.

A Viking representative onshore asked if we were going to the fish fry. We didn’t know anything about it but wandered over to a wonderful event space right on the water. The interior was large with huge logs stacked to form the rooms. Mae attempted to show our grandsons that she could climb a wall like them. It was somewhat of a spectacle.

Local fried fish and salads were served along with a very cold local IPA.

We headed back to the ship to hang out. Scrabble preceded dinner at the Italian restaurant again. Then early to bed.

This trip is nothing but low-key fun and relaxation.
