Well today we awoke to be essentially next door to where we were yesterday. We moved a little deeper into the fjord and based out of Okeechobee Lodge. Okeechobee Lodge is located between McGregor Point and Frazer Point, leading into the world's largest fresh water fjord - Baie Fine. Again, there really wasn’t anything here except the Lodge.
Because the water was so shallow in this area, all transit from and to the ship was by Zodiac. It was quite the ballet to watch all the Zodiacs maneuvering people around. We had signed up for a Zodiac tour of the area and were lucky to be assigned to the first group. We departed the ship and continued on our exploration without having to transfer at the Lodge.
The water was still and clear. The temperature was in the high 50s. We saw some eagles and birds as well as an active beaver lodge which was interesting.
The ship was setting up an outdoor BBQ for everyone which looked nice, but not nice enough to wait 2 hours for it. We headed back to the ship to read and nap for the rest of the day. It was perfect!
Dinner was back at one of the specialty restaurants.
Tomorrow we’re moving another short distance to a national marine park. Hopefully there will be more to see.
